DON’T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOUR HOME

THIS CLIENT HAD THEIR WINDOWS REPLACED BEFORE THEY MET J.K.BEST AND BECAUSE THEY WERE INSTALLED WITH FAULTY BUILDING SCIENCE TECHNIQUES THE CLIENT IS LEFT WITH THIS MESS.  FORTUNATELY FOR THE CLIENT J.K.BEST HAS THE EXPERTISE TO MAKE THE APPROPRIATE REPAIRS.

REPLACING WINDOWS IS A  TRICKY PROJECT.  IT REQUIRES THAT THE INSTALLER HAVE BUILDING SCIENCE KNOWLEDGE AND FOLLOW PROPER FLASHING TECHNIQUES.

WINDOW REPLACEMENT COMPANIES TRY TO MAKE PURCHASING WINDOWS INTO A GAME TO SEE WHO CAN SELL THEM CHEAPER AND WHO CAN PERFORM THE MOST AMOUNT OF INSTALLATIONS IN TOWN.

TO J.K.BEST, BEING INVITED TO PERFORM A PROJECT AS IMPORTANT AS REPLACING WINDOWS IN YOUR HOME IS NO GAME.  IT IS SERIOUS BUSINESS AND WE DO NOT TAKE YOUR INVESTMENT LIGHTLY.

THIS CLIENT LOVES THEIR NEW FIBERGLASS ENTRY DOOR SYSTEM AND NEW HALF ROUND WINDOW.  ALL NEW COMPOSITE TRIM WAS INSTALLED SO THERE IS NO MORE CHANCE OF WOOD ROT ISSUES.

BEFORE PHOTO OF HIDDEN DAMAGE = This is typical of what we find behind de-laminating wood trim.  No vapor barrier or flashing and wet, moldy, wood rot substrate materials.

AFTER PHOTO WITH NEW WINDOWS AND COMPOSITE TRIM = We replaced the damaged substrate, installed vapor barrier and new flashing materials.  We installed new Marvin windows with aluminum cladding and new all-composite trim that will never rot again.  We painted everything to match the existing trim color and the client now has a beautiful repair that they can be proud of for many years to come.

This client was fortunate to hire J.K.Best when they did. This home had wood windowsills that were rotting. The exterior door jambs that we rotting and allowing water penetration into the home. Most companies would recommend replacing all the windows and doors in the home. Talk about having to write a big check. When that truck pulls up to your house with all new windows and doors, look out.
